Great news! We've solved a problem–and it might be a problem you've been having. We've developed a new cord for all Docking Drawer Slim and Docking Drawer Slim USB series outlets. The cord now exits from its plug at a 45-degree angle, making it possible to plug two cords into a single outlet.
How did this need come about?
More and more charging drawer specifications are needing up to 8 outlets for charging household devices. In response to this need, Docking Drawer specifiers have been installing 2 Docking Drawer charging outlets into a single drawer in a mirrored configuration (See Diagram Below). This solution was perfect up until the installer attempted to plug the Docking Drawer outlets into a single AC outlet, which is the typical electrical install. The problem was that the cord on one Docking Drawer prohibited the cord from the other one to be plugged in.
Thankfully, this is no longer an issue. In fact, all newly manufactured charging outlets will now include the 45-degree angle feature. We continually seek to improve every detail of Docking Drawer outlets and some of our greatest innovations come from customer feedback. Send yours to us, today.
