At Docking Drawer, we're really into the idea of technological advancement. In fact, it was just a few years ago that our founder, Scott Dickey, invented a safe and reliable way to add electrical outlets into any drawer. Instead of hiding unsafe, DIY in-drawer electrical outlets from inspectors, customers can now safely specify Docking Drawer outlets that feature integrated safety features, smart cable management and are ETL Listed to UL 962a and CSA-C22.2 to meet today's building safety codes into any type of drawer. Scott's idea was further validated in August 2015 by the U.S. Patent office who approved the Docking Drawer application for a utility patent on its safety interlocks. In addition to being a useful and innovative product, Docking Drawer is also a patented product.
That’s not all! More recently, in May 2016, the Docking Drawer in-drawer movable outlet received a second utility patent. This patent covers the structure box, the cord, and the receptacle box. It serves as further proof that Docking Drawer is making a big splash in the technological industry–and that people are starting to take notice of these much-needed clutter-clearing products. We're incredibly excited that Docking Drawer is continuing to advance as a product for our customers.
