ETL Listed for use in the US & Canada, this product satisfies the Canadian Electrical code for AC outlets within the cabinet, making in-drawer power possible in Canada.
How It Works
*Only for use with Blade Series outlets
For general applications, such as cabinet doors, choose an Appliance Garage Safety Outlet.

Install the Safety Outlet, a single gang electrical outlet featuring one NEMA 5-15 receptacle and one switch connector, into a standard single gang junction box within 4' of your powered vanity drawer. Then mount the Blade Switch to any Docking Drawer Blade Series outlet to detect the drawer position and de-energize the Safety Outlet (and the connected Docking Drawer outlet) when the drawer is closed.
The Blade Switch will de-energize the Blade Series outlet when the drawer is 1-2” from the fully open position. You may adjust the position of the Blade Switch to de-energize the outlet at the optimal position for your drawer.
All Docking Drawer Blade Series Outlets are listed to UL 962a and CSA 22.2 #21, and the Safety Outlet with Blade Switch is listed to UL 498 and CSA 22.2 #42. *The Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) has the final say on whether an installation meets the requirements of the Canadian Electrical Code.

“That’s the beauty of your [product]! It activates at the earliest possible moment and kills the power creating the opportunity for either self-extinguishment, or better yet, no fire at all. I teach a monthly fire extinguisher class where I tell the students that “if you can de-energize the equipment, 90% or the majority of time the fire will self-extinguish.”
